Appropriate Practices for Physical Education

Mohun Elementary is a small K-5 school with 348 students from diverse backgrounds. Four different languages are spoken among students at Mohun: English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Arabic.

The physical education teacher is Dennis Sandoval.

I'm Dennis Sandoval and I've been teaching for 18 years, with the last 6 being at Mohun Elementary School. I see my students 3 times a week for 30 minutes each class period. My schedule has eight classes a day.

I was selected to be observed because of the diversity of my students. I want to see if my instructional strategies are inclusive of all the students who are non-English-speaking. I'd like to evaluate my program effectiveness in guiding all children to become physically educated.
