John may be overtraining, or he may not be. This will take further exploration into his behaviors to find out for sure. However, it might help him if he took a bigger break between his sparring workouts and his weight training.

He's also not eating any carbohydrates between his two sessions. Eating some carbohydrates would keep his energy up during the long workout sessions. By looking at his meal and exercise patterns and documenting time and moods, you will be able to help this client feel better and have more effective workouts.
